With the Great Ridge between Lose Hill and Mam Tor to the south and the Dark Peak moorland of Kinder plateau to the north, YHA Edale enjoys doorstep access to the greatest adventure playground there is: the landscape. With a long-established activity centre attached and having recently undergone a large-scale renovation, we’re confident that camp-goers will find that this grand country house is their Kinder place.
From Edale railway station, travel east for 1.5 miles to the bottom of the hostel drive.

Having undergone a £250,000 renovation in 2014, YHA Edale benefits from refreshed bedrooms with new carpets, curtains and decor, as well as a modern and spacious reception area and lounge. It’s a fantastic base for a week of adventure, fun and discovery.
Situated on the southern flanks of the mighty Kinder Scout, this Peak District location boasts spectacular views over open access moorland. The hostel is surrounded by stunning scenery including Mam Tor and the Dark Peak. Here campers do real activities in the surrounding landscape.
